Fall is full of so many fun activities, from pumpkin patches to corn mazes to festivals to parties. I’m sure one of my favorite memories from this fall will be the day we spent at Kings Island in Cincinnati, Ohio! Growing up, my husband was fortunate enough to come to the park frequently, and he has talked about going together since before we got married.
Since I knew we were headed to his hometown, I searched for fun family friendly things to do in Cincinnati. When I stumbled upon Snoopy’s Halloween Party at Kings Island, I knew I had found the perfect way to spend our first day in Ohio. We rolled into town late Saturday night and on Sunday, we piled into the van and headed out to experience all Kings Island has to offer! Once we arrived at the park, we followed the signs to Snoopy’s Halloween Party, located in Soak City Waterpark.
The party runs from 12 to 6pm on Saturdays and Sundays until November 1. All water rides are closed during this event. You’ll find that this event is all fun and no fear and is even included with general park admission! We quickly changed the kids into their costumes and snapped some photos with the perfect fall background.
Right when we entered Soak City, we were given candy bags and guided through some fun trick or treat stations! Every Sunday in October, canine companions are invited to join their owner from 12 to 4:00pm as part of Snoopy’s Halloween Party! The dog days events include a dog parade, costume contest (at 3:00pm) and dog trick or treat stops. We didn’t bring our pup with us, but we did grab a few bones to take home to him!
After some trick or treating we went over to the live stage show. We had so much fun watching Charlie Brown’s Spooktacular musical event featuring the whole Peanuts Gang! They sang, danced the monster mash and told us about the Great Pumpkin!
Then it was time for the costume parade and contest! There were some really awesome costumes and it was so much fun to watch everyone strike their best pose as they showed off their costumes for Snoopy and his pals. My favorite happened to be the family of Star Wars characters!
We got to meet many of the characters and even had a chat with the Great Pumpkin!!
There were so many fun things to do! We also picked pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, raced through the hay maze, enjoyed some interactive storytime fun and visited Snoopy’s Barnyard friends in the 15-time, award-winning Planet Snoopy kids’ area. This area features more than 50 farm animals for guests of all ages to interact with and learn about, and my kids loved it!
Once we were finished with Snoopy’s Halloween Party, we still had plenty of time left to enjoy the park. Everything we needed was all in one area so we didn’t even have to leave Planet Snoopy to grab some awesome food. There were the perfect amount of rides for my little guy to ride, and my big girl enjoyed many of the roller coasters with her daddy! He likes to brag that his four year old rode “The Beast” and had no fear!
If you’re in the Cincinnati area and looking for lots of fall family fun for all ages all in one place, be sure to check out Kings Island! Kings Island is located in Mason, Ohio. You can save $22 by purchasing tickets online at visitkingsisland.com. Kings Island is open from 11am to 1am on Saturdays and 11am to 7pm on Sundays.
