Alaska or Bust – Our 2017 Summer Plans

Coming to Alaska was a trip we talked about doing, someday.

It wasn’t something we imagined doing in this RV or with 3 kids ages 6 and under.

After my Mom passed away in the summer of 2016, something shifted inside me and I began dreaming about our “someday” trip and thinking about how I’d feel if it never came to fruition.

I began thinking about our ultimate purpose when we launched full-time in our RV in 2014.  We defined our decision to leave the military and pursue a different lifestyle as our chance to live more intentionally, more simply, and more adventurously.

We only get one life to live and what matters is how we spend the space in between being born and dying – and we wanted to look back and honestly say that we lived an “incredible dash”.  Were we doing that?

After many late night talks, things began to fall together…
We are officially spending April – September 2017 traveling to and exploring Alaska!
